Cannes Couture ‘Who Wore It Better’ Competition Winners
Theo King’s exclusive Cannes Couture Collection was all about the glamour & sophistication and the Agents at Star Fever Agency have seen enough runway shows this year to know how to dress their Stars at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
With each outfit there were many Stars but only one real look. It was the fashion duty of fellow Agents to decide Who Wore It Better in the match-ups and here are the winners!
Style guru, Agent Herlijk, had 2 winnning Stars, Paraminder Duke & Rubye Enos, in ‘The Deepika’ and ‘The Cheryl’ categories respectively and believes in trusting her instincts when it comes to choosing her Stars’ outfits.
“From the moments they tried them on I knew I was going to win. The dress fit their look and personality perfectly. Rubye Enos captured the sophitcation of ‘The Cheryl’ and with Paraminder Duke looking like an Indian diva it just looked great!”
Eloquent Agent, Alexa Blaze, took the credit for her Star’s stunning appearance in ‘The Elizabeth’ dress. “Despite Marina Lupina’s shy demeanour I chose the bold Elizabeth Banks dress because the hues of pinks, peaches & purple complimented Marina’s platinum locks. I specifically chose a sleek hairstyle to add balance to the dress.”

‘The Michelle’ dress was worn better by Miss Nikayla’s Star, Halle Yun-Fat. Miss Nikayla admitted her Star’s blue hair often made her look like an American flag in a number of the Cannes Couture Collection pieces but her features shone through in the end. “Halle’s mysterious look with dark eyes and dark blue hair really made her look stunning. The latest jewellery accessories also played a major part in beating the other Agents.”
Winning stylist of Alla Farrell, Agent Lady Gaga, was keen to take her inspiration from her own passion for old Hollywood style icons like Grace Kelly & Rita Hayworth and chose the simple but beautiful ‘The Kate’ dress. “My opponents in the competition did look lovely but Alla rocked the dress. When it comes to elegance and sophistication nobody touches her but thanks for the votes guys – you’re awesome!”
Agent Wicked’s determination to succeed in this competition saw her focus her energies and “go for the kill” as she dressed Uta Bindon in the fabulous ‘The Cate’ dress. “Uta is a real star who likes to work hard and knows her talents for both movies and fashion can make her the best in the business.”
The guys got in on the action too with some sleek and sexy suits and in a hard fought competition the man of the moment right now, Justin Weatherax, stood out from the screaming crowds. His Agent, Agent Camakilla, uses color to build an outfit and make her Stars unique. “I wanted Justin to look extraordinary and a break with the traditional white shirt. I think a man should not shy away from wearing pink and with the black suit and blonde hair he looks très cool.”
Other winners included Agent Mickey’s Star, Belle O’Leary, who won the category for the sumptuous ‘The Diane’ dress, Agent Wateringcan’s Star, Isabelle Madden who rocked it in ‘the Rachel’, Agent Ughliz’s style conscious Star, Anita Shultz, for ‘The Mischa’ (always a difficult one to pull off)
& last but by no means least
– Agent Tiffie’s Star, Adrienne James, who posed so elegantly in ‘The Camilla’ a couple of the guys in the office had to be resuscitated!
One final thing!
Our secret moles within the Agency have also heard that Theo King will be releasing a new collection – ‘The Style Icon Collection’ – on July 27…so get your Stars ready for the next face-off.

To prove that true style never goes out of fashion Agent Velvet Touch was inspired to dress her Star, Brynn Britt, in Audrey Hepburn’s classic 1954 Givenchy. “The dress is so pretty that I just knew Brynn’s feminine charm would be a perfect fit. She’s a tough cookie to please at times but she shone on the red carpet in this dress”
With many fashion commentators even suggesting Marthe Snipes wore Renee Zellweger’s daring vintage dress better than Renee herself Agent Lyric was rightly proud of her runaway win in the Who Wore It Better poll. “Both the cut and beautiful yellow color were gorgeous and in keeping the styling simple with a bracelet and earrings the dress remained the focus”.
Popular socialite Agent Marin won ‘The Hilary’ dress-off with her Star, Bryce Buchanan, with the Agency’s judges loving the well-chosen necklace and purse to offset this navy blue knockout. The striking Guy Laroche dress clings to every curve but with a body to die Agent Marin was confident Bryce could pull it off. “Bryce is a health food fanatic and being a big fan of the sleek Gwyneth Paltrow I wanted to fuse laid back & glam styles together”.
The sumptuous red Versace dress made famous by Catherine Zeta Jones at the 1999 Academy Awards proved extremely popular across the red carpets this year and really made the competition fierce for Who Wore It Better. Agent BrookeDyme’s controversial Star, Marlene Mulhare beat off the rest, looking the picture of elegance with matching accessories and was keen to promote her Star. “Although Marlene has the classic ‘girl-next-door’ she is not afraid of being controversial and after being spotted on a nudist beach last week the PR in winning this competition has been priceless”.
Highflying British Agent, Wilhelmina, stole the fashion limelight by playing stylist to Iris Streep who won not one but 2 style categories for both ‘The Halle’ and ‘The Kate’! “I knew the ‘one-shoulder’ trend was still going strong so ‘The Kate’ was always going to be a success and with probably the finest Oscar dress ever ‘The Halle’ Iris wore it best because she simply IS the best!” Agent Wilhelmina was later heard confessing that it was her looks rather than her talent that had made her successful!
Other winners from the ‘Who Wore It Better’ Competition included Agent Menage whose Star, Ornella Doran, rocked the style stakes by wowing the crowds in Penelope Cruz’s 2007 nude Versace gown, Agent MinaJay whose re-work of the classic Julia Roberts Valentino dress on her Star, Junie Suvari, had all the hallmarks of a real movie star and last but by no means least was Agent Mickey who won the category for dressing her Star, Jeannine Hibbard, in Theo King’s take on Keira Knightley’s opulent, plum Vera Wang creation.
