The Young Hollywood Collection: The Boys

Nowadays, no young starlet can go anywhere without a team of image and PR consultants tracking their every word, outfit & move. justindrakeUnsurprisingly, this adult-influenced and impersonal approach doesn’t lead to many risks on the red carpet with many trusting the safety of “black being the new black”. However, some guys out there really do shine!

Breaking Hip Hop sensations Justin Bieber and Drake are first up for a fashion face-off. (Trying desperately to ignore his hair) Justin Bieber wide-ranging appeal comes from his all-American look which can range from preppy comfort to streetwear & lumberjack shirts. Canadian artist, Drake, tries to smooth us out (successfully) with a more polished upscale hip-hop style and at the risk of feeling the wrath of Bieber fans Drake gets my vote anyday!lautnerrob

Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson may be fighting it out for the same girl on the big screen in Twilight, but when it comes to their grooming decision there’s no competition! Their muted color style includes flannel & leather jackets and sunglasses with only their preference for slick and messy hair respectively setting them apart.

For me Zac Efron and Chace Crawford are the most popular stylish guys about right now.  After High School Musical Zac Efron is the spearhead of a generation of kids and if John Travolta’s career is anything to go by after ‘Grease’ then Zac’s sharp look is here to stay. zac chaceThe more rough and ready Chace Crawford has been the face of Versace this past year and is the perfect model to show off fashion house’s fab collections on the small screen.

danielWe’ve watched Daniel Radcliffe grow up in front of the camera from the boy wizard, Harry Potter, through adolescence and straight into the pages of GQ and with the transformation nearly complete Daniel always shows off immaculate classic cuts on red carpet.

The Agency have captured all this potential in its limited edition Young Hollywood Collection available now from Theo King stores until September 3rd. To give your Star a boost & the chance of being making it big make your entry into this Collection’s Who Wore It Better? Competition (keep an eye on emails, the wall & the forum for entry dates and details).  What will make you stand out from the crowd?

The Young Hollywood Collection: The Girls

The Agency makes it their business to always be looking for ‘The Next Big Thing’.  A great Talent Agent can spot diamond potential from and in launching the Young Hollywood Collection you can look to support those starlets tipped for greatness.leighton

Whether it’s actors or singers we love to watch talents evolve before our eyes and either be lost into obscurity or rise to legendary status.  Hollywood is full of wannabes without the talent, hard work or luck required to breakthrough.  Those smiling, fresh faces we’ve seen on the red carpet recently hide hours of dedication, choosing drama school and endless auditions over friends and TV.kirsten

Starting with the Female Collection we have the more classic stylings of Leighton Meester and Jessica Szohr of Gossip Girl team up against Kirsten Stewart and Ashley Greene of the Twilight Saga whose obtainable street fashion sense make popular inspiration. ashleyWith costume & styling as important as the productions themselves these girls never seen to put a fashion foot wrong and it’s hard to pick out a favorite as they all keep getting hotter! Who wins your vote in this style war?

carrieCountry singers have come a long way since the big hair, sequins and tassels stereotype of old. Carrie Underwood has transformed her own timid country girl look on American Idol to become a stunning glamourpuss (obviously with the help of a team of personal stylists!). Also, girl-next-door cutie, Taylor Swift, has her own natural elegance whilst still managing to retain her grounded southern roots.megan

The big guns in the Female Young Hollywood Collection has to be Megan Fox and Scarlett Johansson.  It’s hard to imagine such household names are still only 24 and 25 respectively. scarlettWith Megan recently named the face of Armani Cosmetics and Scarlett the face of D&G Cosmetics their separate styles are all about confidence, sensuality and strength despite their own, more reserved, personalities being at odds with their public images.

Girls who act in the fantasy genre tend to have guys going weak at their geeky knees and these girls are no exception! Everyone’s favorite blue beauty Zoe Saldana from Avatar, Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place use their on-screen images of female empowerment yet all retain their own personal styles.

leaGlee-ding lady, Lea Michelle, who plays Rachel Berry in the hit TV Show Glee is set to be a huge star on Broadway. Her amazing performance at New York’s Tony Awards earlier this year in a taxi-cab yellow dress by Zac Posen has already elevated her to lead role status amongst the theatre elite.

To give your Star a boost & the chance to hit the headlines make up your entry into this Collection’s Who Wore It Better? Competition (keep an eye on emails, the wall and the forum for details).  What will make your Star stand out from the crowd?  All the outfits, both male and female, are strictly limited in number and are available in Theo King stores from Thursday August 26 to September 3 2010 so get ahead of the competition and buy your pieces quickly! I hear from the Agency that some dresses have already sold out!

Style Icon Who Wore It Better? Competition Winners

With the Agency growing in reputation and with many more exciting plans on the horizon the competition for fashion favor in the Who Wore It Better? polls is really heating up in the forum.

This month’s contest saw the heavyweight Style Icon Collection wow us with idols worthy of fashion worship. Each dress represented a trendsetting icon all of whom contributed to so many groundbreaking styles and which we still see evolving today.blondie

The winner of The Blondie category was Miss Nikayla who brought her own passion for wearing unique fashions and accessories in styling her partying Star, Susannah Caspe.  “I chose this dress for Susannah because of her bright red lips and lightly tanned skin. I added large, bright & funky accessories which helped complement the simple, elegant dress.madonna

The fabulous Alexa Blaize gave us an exclusive insight into her winning Star, Gwili Hamasaki who insisted upon wearing The Madonna herself because she was the one whose bold fearlessness inspired her to go into the music business before she made it in the movie world. In a daring move Alexa sold an unnamed moody yet successful diva to take a chance on Gwili who has a famous older sister already at the Agency!

A previous winner of Who Wore It Better? Agent Herlijk is proving her style credentials time and again and this time with another of her Star’s, Whoopi Cannon. “It was going to take someone special to pull off ‘The Marilyn’ dress and despite feeling a little down right now, Whoopi’s natural glamour shone through”.sjp

Sex and the City fanatic Agent Tiffie knew instantly The Sarah Jessica Parker dress was a perfect fit on Whitney Massman.  Inspired by her win Agent Tiffie went out and bought her the entire Must Carrie Collection! She’s wearing the exclusive Carrie Wedding dress with pride now in Fame or Lame – even if it is scaring off potential husbands!twiggy

Agent Diana Love is an Agent who understands what it takes to make it in this business. Her tactics were to take a chance on perhaps the least popular dress and give ‘The Twiggy’ a fresh, original look by adding a vest & boots. You can also see her Star, Lyle Schwan, as one of the faces of the Agency on the website homepage.posh

British Agent, Miss Allen, teamed her Star’s win in ‘The Victoria’ category with the perfect mix of accessories. A Star of many critically acclaimed independent movies, Molly Parera showed she was more than comfortable in her new role as a growing fashion icon.

guysOther winners of the Style Icon Collection included WWIB regulars Agent Mickey won ‘The Guys’ outfit with Jacob Tom, Agent Gaga whose Star, Alla Farrell, won two awards for ‘The Grace’ and ‘The Princess Diana’ and Agent Foxxi Girl who won 2 categories for ‘The Sienna’ and ‘The Audrey’ with Martine Frooks & Helena Portman respectively.  All were unavailable for comment.

Carrie Bradshaw Style Goddess: The Collection

1We think of Carrie Bradshaw and we think of her as our own friend. We’ve been there every step of the way – cried, laughed and partied with her – not to mention checking out her every outfit!

The Sex and the City character brought high fashion and daring street glamour out of our TV screens and into our lives week after week and some of us can remember what she was wearing during those all-important moments! From the iconic tutu dress we first saw her in, the classic Parisian look during her short move with Aleksandr and that fateful catwalk moment in a D&G coat, bra and diamond knickers we all have our favorite fashion memory from SATC.95

And now it’s time for your Stars to dress like her! By launching The Must Carrie Collection Fashion Republic continues to build on its reputation of defining great moments in modern fashion history.

The most fashion-forward of all the Sex and the City girls, Carrie Bradshaw is a clothing chameleon who wears as many labels as those which best describe her style. Rummage around in her closet and you’ll find stand out couture next to timeless vintage pieces, hot club wear and, of course, rack after rack of Manolo Blahnik stilettos.4

6But Carrie’s style is about so much more than just clothes & accessories. She always expresses herself through her clothes and it’s always about the fun. Her freedom shines in quirky neo-bohemian ensembles, her urban tough girl attitude in tomboy chic and her cute & coy personality flows in elegant princess dresses.

Carrie taught us all that mix & matching separates is about dressing to make yourself happy and not caring what others think. And she always pulls off her concoctions with natural flair, grace and a helping of good old-fashioned New York attitude.23

To really live for fashion is to look in your closet and effortlessly dress for your mood and not necessarily for the occasion. Carrie has an innate ability to wear those long coats and muted colors when she’s sad and simple bright dresses with big bright smiles and playful off-key accessories.

Giving girls the gumption to go with their glam gut Carrie Bradshaw put down a crucial marker in feminine fashion and whether it’s a simple stroll down Park Avenue cast straight out of the pages of Vogue or a trip to the kiosk for a magazine in 4-inch heels her iconic style will continue to grow in importance.7

The Agency is releasing 21 classic items from Carrie Bradshaw’s colorful and eclectic closet in the Must Carrie Collection all of which are available between August 12 and August 20.

10If you buy all the items from The Must Carrie Collection for your Star you’ll automatically unlock the unbelievable Vivian Westwood dress worn by Carrie on her wedding day to Big! And trust me, this dress (the first wedding dress available from the Agency) is so hot it’s going to be impossible to miss out on so get collecting!**

**Please note – To unlock the wedding dress, all items from the collection must be purchased for the same Star. The exclusive item will be in that Star’s wardrobe the day after you complete the collection.
